Happy February to you all! As we’re finally out of the dreariest month of the year, which is January, it’s time for the first Spotted of this new month. February as we all know is about two things: Valentine’s Day and having the shortest month, which can sometimes be a bad thing in terms of workloads. But it’s also about Fashion! Right now, we’re neck deep in New York Fashion Week, which is currently happening as we speak, going onto the Fashion Week of our country; LFW, which I’m lucky enough to be interning at – more on that another time. Let’s delve in, shall we?

First up is the infamously gorgeous Jessica Alba who was attending a Stand Up to Cancer event in good old Hollywood this week, wearing a custom made Ralph Lauren dress in the ‘do we/don’t we’ colour white. The reason I chose this, other than her incredible perfect tan skin working almost too well with white, is that she’s in a way given the colour of innocence an edgy makeover. By adding plum lipstick, laidback and extremely loose waves as well as black accessories, the actress was able to ensure that this wasn’t a pure-styled outfit. Instead, it’s edgy, a little grunge and very S/S 2014.

Next is model/actress Chloe Sevigny. She’s one of the few models that have made it even though she’s an individual spirit with a wild-yet-awesome dress sense. Chloe is one of my favourites, so when I saw this outfit I loved her even more. But I know what you guys are going to think when I tell you that her Rodarte dress is from Autumn/Winter of 2012: ‘so out-dated, so two years ago etc’, but I really beg to differ. If fashion and style is about individuality, then bringing back a dress as cool as this, is totally okay, right? RIGHT. Teamed with orange lipstick – which is another makeup look I’m loving this season – and black ankle boots, there is no shadow of a doubt that this look is ace.

Last but not least is another model/actress, Diane Kruger, who was spotted at the Peter Pilotto for Target launch in LA earlier this week. To support the new collaboration between Peter Pilotto (made up of duo Peter Pilotto, who is half-Italian and half-Australian, and Christopher De Vos, who is half-Belgian and half-Peruvian – what a combo!) and American clothing store, Target, Diane Kruger and some other fashionable faces including Taylor Schilling and Alexa Chung, got together to promote some of the fabulous designs by wearing them – of course! The dress that Diane is wearing in particular is the one that I love most from the collection. Not only is it a mixture of three different patterns and textures, but also it’s a good fitting dress with a great length in sleeves and skirt – making it perfect for an evening occasion. Teamed with a middle-parted up do, red lipstick, a blue clutch and black-strapped heels – the outfit wins for me. Hooray!

Come back again next week for more!
